The 4th of July Celebration at the Post starts with a Flag Raising at 8:00 AM. Then the fun begins when the Canteen opens at 11:00 AM with games such as cornhole, jenga, dominos, cards, etc., drink specials, FREE FOOD from Noon to 5:00 PM (while it lasts) courtesy of the McFarland’s. At 5:00 PM our Potluck begins and games end. Then in the evening we will have Karaoke at 7:00 PM. Be sure to buy tickets for the Lottery Scratch Off at the bar in the Canteen. Tickets are a dollar each or 7 for $5.00. Drawing at 7:30 PM. The Queen of Hearts drawing is at 8:00 PM. Buy a Q of H ticket and you can win $2,736 if you are present for the drawing or $2,280 if you are not present.

Bingo Night starting on Saturday nights.  July 5th and 26th at 6:00 PM. There has been a lot of interest in starting Bingo on Saturday nights and now we have it! $6.00 book for 5 games ($1.00 a game except $2.00 coverall). Pot depends on the players. All money goes to the winners.

Olympic Style Boxing in the Post Hall on July 12th sponsored by Madison Boxing. Doors open at 1:00 PM with the first of 20 bouts starting at 2:00 PM. Probably last about 4 hours. Admission is $20.00. Madison will be selling hot dogs and nachos; drinks of course are at the Bar. Ages 8 to 34. A doctor will be present at all times.

Our 4th Annual Casino Knight (yes, Knight) will be Saturday August 2nd. The $35.00 ticket includes $1,000 in chips with a 500 chip bonus for tickets purchased by July 20th. Tickets are available at the Post Bar. Only a limited number of tickets are available so get yours soon. See the information at the bottom and additional details to follow.

At Your Service from our Post Service Officer—-Later in July, Mike “Zeke” Mazor will begin sending out his own Newsletter providing you with important benefits information. He is using the same database as the Post Newsletter and the Legislative Affairs Newsletter. Therefore, if you unsubscribe from one you will automatically unsubscribe from all three.

The Department of Arizona Convention was held last month, and Post 9400 Past Commander Jim Shanley was elected Judge Advocate.

Reminder Post Hours: The Post will be closed on Tuesdays except for Post Meeting night. The Post will open at 4:00 PM on all Thursdays. We will need to continue this schedule until we get additional bartenders. If you are interested in becoming a bartender, please call the Post at 602-678-2726.

Strikeout Pool and GenX Movies will return after the summer.
